Future Plans
Buying our own property
During our years of operation we have been renting our facilities from other established camps. This has limited both the number of people we can accommodate for each week of camp as well as the number of weeks we can operate for. We feel the time has come to seriously consider purchasing our own property in order to meet the growing needs of our camp.
This would enable us to:
- Operate for more weeks without necessarily increasing the number of campers per week
- Make the site available for the use of a boys camp and/or family camp when we are not in operation
- Make the site available for use by student groups for recreation or study or retreats during the school year
- Acquire quality equipment and supplies for our campers
- Gain stability through ensuring the continuation of the camp for many years to come
Donations to the camp can be given to the Neeje Association with a designation to Chilawee Trails camp activities.
